How it works
Your application. A second set of eyes.
The EE DIY package follows three stages. You prepare and submit your application; FYD provides the agreed guidance and review.
Stage 1 of 3
A focused starting point.
Discuss your application stage, concerns and priorities. Agree which materials will be reviewed and what you need to prepare.
You leave with
A clear review scope and a preparation checklist.
Planned meeting time: 30 minutes
Stage 2 of 3
Find the gaps before submission.
Provide your prepared materials as one organized set. FYD reviews the agreed documents and discusses issues with you in a dedicated session.
You leave with
Consolidated feedback on missing items, inconsistencies and corrections.
The proposed schedule totals 4 hours and may be adjusted within that allowance. One application, including declared accompanying family members, subject to a complexity check. Additional work requires a separate quote and your agreement.

About FYD
Advice that starts with your situation.
Founded by Ruijing (Renee) Wang, FYD Consultants Ltd. helps individuals and families understand their Canadian immigration options and plan their next steps.
Our current services focus on consultations and defined reviews. We agree the scope with you, explain what’s included and help you understand the decisions ahead.
A clear working relationship
You stay responsible for your application and submission. Review services help identify issues within the agreed scope; they do not guarantee an approval.
Clear expectations make for a more useful consultation.
Which consultation should I choose?
Start with the 30-minute initial consultation if you have questions or are unsure what support you need. Choose the EE DIY package if you are preparing your own Express Entry application and want a defined pre-submission review. Choose the sponsorship DIY review for a prepared spousal or common-law partner application. Parents/grandparents sponsorship is assessed separately. Choose the reconsideration consultation if you have a refusal and need an assessment of potential next steps.
What counts towards the package hours?
Professional time includes meetings, preparation, document review and substantive written feedback within the agreed scope. Routine booking and billing administration do not use the review allowance. EE review includes three sessions within a maximum of four hours. Spousal and partner sponsorship review includes three sessions within six total hours. Reconsideration consultation allows a maximum of eight hours. Extra work is quoted and agreed before it begins.
How does the $120 upgrade credit work?
If you upgrade for the same matter within 14 days of your initial consultation, its $120 fee counts towards the $500 EE, $900 sponsorship or $1,200 reconsideration package. That leaves $380, $780 or $1,080 respectively before applicable taxes. The completed 30-minute consultation counts towards the package time and, for either DIY review package, as the first of its three sessions. Eligibility is checked before a real payment.
Does FYD submit the application for me?
These products provide consultation and agreed document review. You prepare and submit your application. Filing, acting as your representative, ongoing case management and contacting immigration authorities are not included.
Is reconsideration the same as an appeal?
No. The consultation assesses whether asking for reconsideration is suitable for your circumstances. It does not include an appeal or judicial review, and a reconsideration request does not preserve other filing deadlines. Tell us the refusal date and any known deadlines before booking; urgent matters may need prompt advice from an appropriately authorized professional.
What should I prepare?
For an initial consultation, prepare a short background and your main questions. EE review starts with your application stage and an organized document set. Sponsorship review starts with your application stage, agreed forms and organized identity and relationship evidence. A refusal consultation starts with the refusal letter, decision date and relevant application records. Only provide sensitive documents through an agreed secure channel after the scope is confirmed. Read the preparation checklists.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Draft policy: reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before a meeting. Late changes or missed appointments do not automatically make unearned fees non-refundable; any charge must follow the signed agreement and applicable law. Package cancellations are assessed against work already completed; no blanket forfeiture of unused professional fees is proposed. EE and sponsorship DIY review packages are intended to finish within 60 days. Refusal matters follow an individually agreed timeline.
Your next step
Start with a conversation.
Thirty minutes to bring your questions into focus.
Consultation scope
Initial consultation: CAD 120 for 30 minutes. EE DIY review: CAD 500 for three sessions within four total hours. Spousal and partner sponsorship DIY review: CAD 900 for three sessions within six total hours. Reconsideration consultation: CAD 1,200 for up to eight total hours. All professional preparation, meetings, document review and substantive written feedback count towards the allowance; routine booking and billing administration do not. Prices are before applicable taxes.
Reviews and submission
EE review covers one agreed application and declared accompanying family members, subject to suitability and document volume. It includes an initial meeting, one consolidated document review and one final review of agreed corrections. The client remains responsible for accurate information, changes, deadlines and submission. Filing and representation are outside these packages. No decision or outcome is guaranteed.
Spousal and partner sponsorship review
One agreed spousal or common-law partner sponsorship application, with an initial consultation, review of agreed forms and identity/relationship evidence, and one final review of corrections. All professional work counts towards six hours. Parents/grandparents sponsorship, previous refusals, sponsor eligibility issues, complex marital histories and significant relationship-evidence gaps are assessed separately before a quote. You prepare and submit the application.
Reconsideration consultation
The package covers refusal analysis, suitability assessment and strategy. Where appropriate, it includes one review of a client-prepared request draft. If reconsideration is unsuitable, the advice will explain why and discuss other possible next steps. Filing, ongoing follow-up, appeals and judicial review are outside scope. The package is not emergency deadline protection.
Upgrade credit
A verified CAD 120 initial consultation for the same matter completed within 14 days of upgrade is credited towards the package, leaving CAD 380 for EE, CAD 780 for sponsorship or CAD 1,080 for reconsideration before applicable taxes. The completed 30 minutes count towards the package hours and, for either DIY review, its first session. The credit is not cash and cannot be used twice or combined with a refund of the same fee.
Time, changes and cancellation
The allowance covers the agreed professional work. If it is close to being exhausted before the deliverables are complete, the scope and any additional work must be discussed and agreed in writing; reaching the cap does not make undelivered work earned. The proposed DIY review package window is 60 days from its first session; reconsideration timelines are agreed individually. The proposed notice period for rescheduling or cancellation is 24 hours. Late changes or no-shows do not automatically forfeit unearned fees; any charge must follow the signed agreement and applicable law. Refunds are assessed against completed work and applicable law; the final fee allocation and policy must be provided before purchase.
